VOCALS - NESS ABERNETHY
Ness Abernethy as Adele Ness is a kiwi-born singer, vocal coach, dancer and actor who is passionate about performing with excellence and has been in the entertainment industry for over 20yrs. Ness is a Vocal Coach, has done TV and radio adverts, sings jingles for Les Mills worldwide, performed on NZ Stars In Their Eyes, sung the national anthem for televised netball, been a soloist at Coca Cola's Christmas In The Park, was awarded Top Female Vocalist for the VAC Awards 2023 and was asked to sing with Michael Buble at his HIGHER world tour while in NZ. Ness has a rich, powerful voice and loves to sing a variety of genres, from rock and pop through to jazz and easy listening ballads. She always brings 100% to the stage in all her performances. Ness loves the buzz of live performing and enjoys some good banter and engaging with the crowd. Bringing you all the hits of Adele while encompassing her stage presence, glamourous look and iconic vocal delivery. Rumour Has It you are gonna LOVE this show!! |
JOHN GORBEY - Piano, Keys & Acoustic guitar John is our lead guitarist and also does backing vocals. John began playing piano at the age of 7, then guitar in his teens. He has studied classical guitar and has a Performance Diploma with Trinity College London. John has played in numerous bands and has also toured internationally in a support act for premiere blues guitarist Billy T.K. Jnr and Cold Chisel’s Ian Moss. John has been in the entertainment industry for 20+yrs, and has a great versatile voice, singing a variety of styles well. John is the musical director for the ADELE tribute show, and brings fantastic musicality and dynamics to the arrangements of the songs. John has a great personality making him easily approachable and he has a really positive stage presence. |
DANIEL GORBEY - Piano & Keys Daniel Gorbey’s talent for Piano became obvious at an early age, and he quickly progressed to achieving Grade 5 Jazz Piano, and Grade 8 Piano with the Royal College of Music. His dedication to Piano during his College years, earned him a University Scholarship in Piano Performance. Playing and singing on a regular basis, Daniel and his father form a musical duo aptly named “Father and Son” which are often heard performing around the Auckland Region. At only 21yrs of age Daniel has a quite confidence about him, but once he is behind that piano he is a BEAST!!! Daniel brings incredible feel and dynamic to his performance as the lead pianist in the show. |
KARENINA JACKSON (KAZ) - Backing vocals Kaz is a passionate vocalist who has a love for music and entertaining. She has been lead vocalist in a variety of covers bands over the last 20 years, covering rock, pop, jazz and more. She is a confident singer who has played significant parts in NZ wide conferences, as both a lead vocalist and backing vocalist Kaz has a strong voice with warm tones that can both cut through and blend and harmonise, depending on what the moment requires. Kaz has a great fun sense of humor, and enjoys a good laugh, and she is an absolute joy to have in the ADELE NZ line up. |
AMANDA JAMES (MANDZ) Amanda (Mandz as she is known) has had over 20+ years experience as a vocalist and entertainer. Mandz has performed in many various bands, whether that is as the front lead vocalist, backing vocalist or in choirs. Or, when working as a vocalists in the record studio singing on various tracks. She has a smooth, warm vocal tone that marries well with her strong stage presence and contagious energy. She enjoys working out all the detailed harmonies within a song, and then ads them in to make a song rich and dynamic. She is a great asset to the ADELE NZ line up. |
